Program introduction

Program introduction

In 2015, Category 5 Tropical Cyclone Pam struck Vanuatu causing severe damage to the archipelago. The destruction of schools, dispensaries, bridges and roads in remote locations as well as the reduction of aid donors led the Government to introduce the Citizenship Development Support Program in 2017.

The Government applies a quota every year to be renewed at its own discretion.
